Arranged and composed by self-taught producer, musician/songwriter The Christopher Complex. A Brooklyn, NY based artist with southern roots.

Let’s Go features tracks which tells the story of courtship, romance and the freedom to love. This artist used his relationships as his muse; the experiences of a journey toward commitment. From rhythmic impulses on the dance floor in the song Dance With You to the soulful declaration of love-found in the song You’re the One I’ve Been Looking For (All of My Life). The EP is a montage of different experiences…conjuring up feelings and imaginations, most mainstream music has seems to abandon, in its creation. “Let’s Go” dares you to leave all inhibitions at the door and surrender to music that crosses genres and generations.
The Christopher Complex does not follow what major labels have branded as popular music. He likes music to be different and challenging. His musical theory, both simple and involved, represents the different aspects of his complex personality.

“Let’s Go” is available at CD Baby.com and Apple iTunes.

Carl wanted to easily learn more about his favorite artists’ backgrounds and when and where they were playing in New York. He wanted to instantly hear their new releases and easily acquire tickets to their shows. He wanted instant directions to each concert and an easy way to collect their new CDs in the meantime. Mostly, Carl dreamed of honoring fellow musicians of all genres who sweated it out on the road to provide culture and inspiration, and all the supporters of the arts that provided a time and space for artists and fans to come together. The result is a dream realized.

Carl Eklof grew up in the D.C. music scene, and has been a musician for as long as he can remember. After graduating with a Computer Science degree from Virginia Tech, he moved to Boston where he helped build the leading search and navigation vendor Endeca, while also gigging with bands including Victory at Sea. Carl hopes to bring all sides of his work and arts experience and connections to www.BeeThere.net .

A New York lawyer wins the 20th annual Miss Latina US pageant in Mexico, making it the first time in the pageant’s history that a J.D. Associate walks away with the crown.

New Rochelle resident Melissa Quesada was born in the Bronx 26 years ago of Puerto Rican parents. The Latina beauty is a graduate of Hofstra School of Law and is currently employed at a New York law firm, proving intelligence can be combined with beauty.

The New York delegate beat out 17 other delegates from 13 states: Arizona, Arkansas, Florida, Illinois, Kansas, Maryland, Mississippi, Missouri, Oregon, Rhode Island, Tennessee, Texas and Utah. Four delegates represented Colombian, Guatemalan, Mexican and Panamanian women who live in the US and not the states where they reside.

Karina De la Rosa, a Dominican psychology student from Rhode Island was First Runner-Up, followed by pre-Med student Keren Kinglow, Miss Panama U.S. Latina. Completing the top 7 were Jessica Garcia of Utah, Argentina Ruiz of Arizona, Laritza Garcia of Maryland, and Angeles Gonzalez, Miss Mexico US Latina.

Quesada will represent the US at the 2006 Miss Latin America Pageant, competing with delegates from North, Central and South America, the Caribbean and Europe.

The evening also included the coronation of another Puerto Rican beauty–“Miss Teen U.S. Latina 2005”, which went to the delegate from Illinois for the second consecutive year. Geysha González (16) of Downers Grove received her crown from her predecessor Michelle Gonzalez of Chicago. Annelyn Nelson of Utah was First Runner-Up.

For the sixth consecutive year the world hotel chain Barceló Hotels & Resorts shared co-production credits at their Barceló Maya Beach Resort, site of the 2003 National and International Pageants in Riviera Maya-Cancun, Mexico. Featured performers were Reggaeton group La Familia, the Barcelo Maya Show Stars and as show emcee Jackeline Cacho, a news anchor on Spanish-language television in the US. The show was taped for future broadcast and webcast by TeleLatina.tv.

The national Miss Latina pageant system encourages education and pride in cultural heritage, selecting winners who can be role models for other Latinas in the country and goodwill ambassadors for the US abroad. Miss Latina U.S. 2005 will join the international and European titleholders in a trip to Europe next year as one of her travel prizes.

The Miss Latina US™, Miss Teen US Latina™ and Miss Latin America® Pageants are produced annually by Organizacion Miss America Latina, Inc. headquartered in Miami, Florida.

The New York Minute Film Festival (http://www.nymff.com) is the first major online film competition that showcases the works of novice and expert filmmakers alike in the 60-second format. Founding sponsor and award-winning visual media company, Convergence (www.convergenceny.com), announced today the addition of famed actress, Rosario Dawson (Sin City), to the festival’s panel of judges. Born and raised in the Big Apple, Dawson has starred in several New York based films that include Spike Lee’s He Got Game and 25th Hour, Side Streets directed by Tony Gerber, Light it Up directed by Craig Bolotin, Down on You directed by Kris Isacsson and Trigger Happy directed by Julian West. Her Hollywood career features her in such blockbusters as Alexander with Colin Farrell, Men in Black II with Will Smith and Tommy Lee Jones and Robert Rodriguez and Frank Miller’s Sin City.

The film festival also announced new dates. The new submission deadline is December 2, 2005, which accommodates film students returning to class this fall. Voting will be taking place through December 19, 2005. The screening of festival winners and the announcement of prizes will take place at a gala celebration on February 2, 2006.

Dawson joins a panel of celebrity judges that includes famed writer/director Joel Schumacher (Batman Forever and Veronica Guerin), producer Eric Watson (Pi and Requiem for a Dream), documentary director/producer Leon Gast (When We Were Kings and The Dead), writer/director Julian West (Trigger Happy), Stash DVD Magazine editor Stephen Price and Kelley Devine, who works in Film Acquisitions at the Independent Film Channel (IFC).

The panel was made possible as a result of strong entertainment industry ties on the part of Convergence. Managing/ Editor Partner, Chip Smith recently completed commercial work with director Joel Schumacher and is slated to work on a feature film with director Julian West and actress Rosario Dawson in the coming year. Managing Partner/Editor Jeff Cahn’s long-standing relationship with Academy Award winning documentary director, Leon Gast, resulted in his participation, while Managing Partner/Editor Oren Sarch, who cut indie cult hit, Pi, was able to secure producer, Eric Watson.

In addition to having their movies viewed by a star-studded judging panel, entrants of the New York Minute Film Festival also enjoy the use of professionally scored music courtesy of Pink Noise. The New York-based music and sound design company generously donated their music library free of charge solely for festival use.

Currently accepting submissions in the five categories drama, comedy, experimental, animation and music video, NYMFF entrants not only are provided with an outlet to showcase their stories and talents, but compete for cool gear and prizes from festival sponsors and a chance
